About Gail Huddle

Gail Huddle Kansas native, Gail Huddle is best known as a naturalist, avid outdoorsman, wildlife artist and photographer. His love for nature began at a very early age and continues to be one of his greatest passions in life. That passion, blended with his natural artistic abilities, has enriched his works which can be found in collections from Alaska to Texas. Wildlife photography is gratifying for Huddle and he especially enjoys the challenge associated with it. “You have to know the habits of your subjects to get wildlife in your camera lens and that best comes from hours of study and observation.” He has found that spending his lifetime in the outdoors has been a great resource to draw from. Huddle emphasizes that also being knowledgeable of changing seasons, migration patterns, weather and lighting, as well as creating authentic habitats are also important factors in wildlife photography. Being a self-taught artist and photographer since the early 70’s, Huddle acknowledges that the advancement in digital camera technology has had a positive impact on his photography. He also has gained many helpful tips from personal friend and Professional Wildlife Photographer, Videographer Photo Journalist and Author, Mike Blair. One of Blair’s books entitled “Prairie Chronicles” includes a collection of his best syndicated columns from Kansas Outdoors and features Huddle’s artwork. Reflecting on his talents and passion for nature, Gail Huddle maintains his reward comes from capturing the beauty of wildlife on camera and being able to share it with others. “There is nothing more beautiful than God’s creation. From a fragile butterfly to a majestic elk, nature has the ability to move something within us. I want others to be able to experience that and to be encouraged to grab a camera and get outdoors. ” Huddle assures “It will change your life!” Please Note: All images on this site are fully protected by U.S. and international copyright laws, all rights reserved.
